The Uzi is a series of Israeli open-breech and dynamic submachine guns. It was one of the first guns to use a telescoping breech design that allows the magazine to be stored in the pistol grip, making the weapon shorter. It is still manufactured in Israel today, used by the Israeli army, and is the weapon of choice for many terrorist groups.
